Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and one of the most cosmopolitan cities of South America. Its inhabitants are called ‘porteños’, relating to the city as a major port. The city architecture, tango, the cultural activities and the diversity of shows and entertainment on offer, makes Buenos Aires one of the most requested destinations for tourist from all over the world. Its main attractions are the Casa Rosada (Government city), the historic Plaza de Mayo, the Obelisk, symbol of the city and the colorful neighborhoods of La Boca and San Telmo. Buenos Aires is a remarkable cultural center, with numerous museums, exhibition and congress centers, art galleries, cinemas and theaters with world-class national and international events. Tango is one of the main magnets for the foreign visitors. The city hosts many ‘milongas’ (tango dance balls), and tango houses where visitors can enjoy an excellent show and even venture to take a lesson and learn the basic steps of the most sensual dance in the world.

When to go: Buenos Aires has a rather benign weather all year round. With an annual temperature of 18ºC (64°F) in average, there aren’t many intense cold or hot days, which makes it comfortable to visit any time of the year. The coldest month is July and although freezing temperatures are not common, it is necessary to wear warm clothes. Whilst the days are moderately cold, in the evenings temperatures can drop quite low. Summer is humid, with warm mornings and very hot afternoons. In the evening the temperatures refresh slightly so comfortable light clothes are fine.

Discover new landscapes of the Delta of the Parana River sailing from or to the northern riverside. We departure from Bs. As., we visit San Isidro, and when we reach Tigre city we take a boat to discover new horizons: the Delta of the Paraná. During the boat ride, we´ll see many yacht clubs beside the Luján River, outstanding houses and mansions located on slopes facing the La Plata River. Among the attractions, you´ll find that at the coastline we can stand out the Cathedral of San Isidro, the Port of Olivos, the ‘Monumental’- the popular name we give to the Football Stadium of River Plate Club-, the University Campus of Bs. As. and planes landing and taking off the local airport.

We will leave Buenos Aires city heading for this natural scenery and will sail along the Delta and its islands. The life of the “isleños” (people who live on the islands of the Delta) is very special. We will know their customs, culture and ways of life. We will see the elegant residences located in the residential neighborhoods of the northern suburbs. We will visit San Isidro neighborhood, and know its history and people. On the way back to Buenos Aires city, we will pass by the Presidential Residence (Quinta de Olivos).
